An Endless Stream of Consciousness

Monday's finally here. Mom is arriving tonite. she's definitely on the plane by now...hope she has a safe flight... i miss her so much! hehz. My sis and I rented a car from hertz yesterday morning... i had to wake up freakin' early to go pick up the car with my sis... slept only a couple of hours the nite b4. so it's pretty amazing how i'm still up at 3.17am now. plus i didn't take any naps during the day. nehoo, i got to drive my sis to OISE today for her to print out her course readings.. and we also went to check out the new woodsworth residence. took the tour there... it's a really nice place, plus it's decent price some more. to top it off, they've got the best view around on their top floors... a perfect view of the whole UofT campus and beyond... reaching out to CN Tower and even the lake. what a sight! we were also supposed to go to canadian tire after that to get some utilities, but cuz we were rushing for church and running short on time we postponed that and drove back first.

i've been spending a lot of time editing my PES 3 game. kinda addictive... sigh.. what a bad time to start this addiction. gonna be busy once my parents come. lots of things to settle. less than a month till i'm home for good. i'm kinda numb by now. don't feel sad or happy... in fact, i don't even miss elm place that much (kinda surprising). i was online a few hours ago and bob brought up something that he just found out. guess he doesn't know i already knew that fact. i have been 100%OK recently but then became pretty annoyed when he brought up the topic. dunno why i had such a short fuse... perhaps it's lack of sleep. alritez.. gonna go make up for it now.

been stoning these past two days... watched "shrek 2" with my sis yesterday.. was pretty funny. my fave character is puss in boots. so cute yet so corny all at once. been feeling lethargic in the mornings and awake late at nite. not a good sign actually.. hehe. during my spare time i also edited our S.E.A. all-star soccer team into my winning eleven game. most of us on the team resemble us decently to a certain extent in real life, with rosita looking the most like herself.. and it's really fun to control players like bob, toh, oak, yuandong, thaddeus, daniel, and me on the team. bob was over this afternoon and tried it out. it was quite fun... heh.

oh.. and our stupid internet still isn't up. bell screwed up and refused to admit it. last week when my sis called the person said they put in the order a couple days before that when we actually ordered on may 16th. then the new modem still hasn't arrived even now. we complained and apparently they cancelled our order by accident. wat BS. world class BSers. oh well, must be able to look beyond these petty problems i guess :) oh yeah.. ALAN SMITH SIGNED FOR MAN UTD!!! what a great weekend this is gonna be.. hehe.. me gonna get to drive ard, prob gonna pick up mom from the airport when she arrives. gonna need more crash helmets in the car. haha. in all honesty, i hope they trust my driving ability :P afterall i did pass on my first try lah hor. tsk tsk.
the clock signalling my time in toronto is certainly ticking away. can't believe i'm just 2 weeks away from my graduation. and 32 days left in this beautiful city. wanna spend more time with whoever's left here, but everyone seems so busy with their plans. good in a way cuz i get to spend more time with my dearest jie, wonderful sister and bully buddy all rolled into one :P

shucks.. seems like i am falling sick.. woke up today with a terrible sore throat. been sucking on some chinese medicine to relieve the pain. neways today was sunday so went to church... then napped the entire afternoon away... stayed up too late last nite no doubt :P i woke up and it was dinner time... joined kitiya, apple, chris, choot and ed @ asian legend for dinner. chris is leaving for home tom early morning so we all kinda had an evening out with him. picked up some stuff he wanted to get rid of.. especially kitiya and apple. gosh they certainly know when to get the stuff they want. good stuff tho, wouldn't exactly call it junk... so might as well take it. oh.. and apple has like very interesting "cool" socks. kinda reminds me of my soccer socks.. hiakz. let's just say they are kinda "holy" if i can call them that.. haha. helped chris move some stuff to a fren of his mother's. who also happens to stay at one park lane, same block, and same floor some more! talk about coincidence! :P *sigh* got drenched by the rain as well. def not gd for my condition right now. gonna go have a hot drink now... shiok! :)

finally moved house. so numb. and so dam tired that it's not even funny anymore. think i'll put a sign on my new bedroom door..."i am john the zombie... watch me faint". the movers today were like freakin' strong. dun think i'll ever be like them.. wouldnt want to anyway. if my body was as bulky as theirs i'd get stuck in the doorway. but the 2 black guys were dam nice. and funny as well. this one called calvin tried to hitch me up with this "hot black chick" and the other black dude promised not to tell my sis... he probably tot my sis and i were a couple. wonder why some people think so... while others think we look so alike.. weird sia this world. oh yeah, and stupid bell sympatico is so dam inefficient. the other day they cut off our line early by accident. now they forgot to send us our new modem for the new building until 2 days ago... meaning we'll only get our own connection on monday at the earliest. no internet for now. well, actually we're kinda "borrowing" someone else's wireless... hee hee... thank u alhassani whoever u are!! :P

FA Cup final tom morning. united better beat milwall or i'll never bother to watch them again. getting haircut @ 2 pm as well. then monday's victoria's day. i never knew wat the heck it stood for. prob a day invented to commemorate all the girls called "victoria" in the world. haha... poor beckham will have to buy his wife something special.. hiakz.. wonder why there's no "john's day". that would be nice... arrgh.. even my jokes aren't funny anymore.. really need some shut eye.. hittin the sack now...

i am sooo not gonna make it. so dam tired from all this packing and endless rounds of trips back and forth between elm place (my current location) and one park lane (place we're moving to) carrying all this heavy stuff that come in all shapes and sizes. i really wonder how we've come to collect so much junk at home... neways i hate moving!!! now my room is stacked with boxes, and everything's empty except for the furniture and biggest boxes that await the help of professional movers. even my comp is @ one park lane oredi... using my sis' spare laptop to blog.. hiakz. gonna be sleeping in the midst of tonnes of boxes ready to be moved tom morning. need to wake up early some more... *sigh* really gonna go nuts if this continues...

i sprained my ankle the other day. and nopez it's not from playing soccer (which is the usual way i like to torture myself with injuries). it was while i was donating some used clothes into a donation bin. i mean how stupid can i be??? wasn't looking where i was going and landed heavily on my left ankle. what an idiot... i mean if i lost my footing cuz a pretty girl walked by that's understandable. but i missed cuz i was looking at the bin to make sure the clothes weren't gonna fall out. can't wait to be done with all this work. guess being so busy i haven't had time to get all emotional and start "missing" this place... which is odd, given how sappy and emotional i have been recently with many things.

gonna be cutting my hair this sat. wonder what silly hairdo i will end up with this time. hope it's bearable. it better be, cuz my convocation ceremony is just a little over 2 weeks away. :) speaking of haircuts, i just realized that quite a few of my frens have had one done recently... at least 4 in fact :P alritez.. gonna go see what interesting thing i can do to tide me over in my last nite here @ elm in the midst of these boxes.

had one of the worst nightmares last nite.. woke up this morning in a cold sweat and felt really bothered. called my mom back home. i guess the nightmare made me realize how much i miss her and how much i have taken her for granted. talking to her made me feel so much better. then a few mins ago i was talking to a fren who told me how she feels lonely sometimes cuz she's an only child. that made me realize how much i have taken my sis for granted as well. *sigh* i guess sometimes we just fail to count the blessings we have... we care too much instead about things that we are hoping for and/or other things that we can't have/get... thank god today for this double reminder that what i have are already the most beautiful gifts he has given me.

didn't do much today. went to church early in the morning, then went to our new apartment to do some measurements and check if all the appliances were in order. then i was off to 666 spadina for the second nite in a row for a cookout session. last nite we had penang asam laksa by eddie and fried chicken with whatever stuff (it was yummy) made by chris. the rest of us just helped them with it... felt a little sien just now so came home early.. walked back with phil... got to chat quite a bit with him along the way... he seems like one really nice chap. too bad i only knew him so late and i'll be going back to sg soon. listening to jay chou's "an jing" now.. dunno why when i'm not in the greatest of moods will listen to sad songs one. guess i'm the "wallow in self-pity and misery" type...

2.17 am now... just came back from timmies with choot. he's playing prince of persia behind me on my other comp.. i can hear the prince die every few minutes... either the sound of him being cut in half by the mechanical jaws or dropping on the spikes. dam farnie. neways, went out today to run errands with my sis.. first we went to the bank to get a money order for the payment of our new apartment. then our agent drove us to missisauga to complete the deal with some lawyers. she then treated us to a fantastic jap meal @ "sushi inn" on cumberland street. picked up our new apartment keys later on in the evening and that was pretty much for "closing day" of the deal. pretty dull now that i think of it.

i have also packed up most of my stuff, thrown out all the unwanted junk, and taken down all my posters in my room. getting ready to move to one park lane this coming week. at least i'm gonna enjoy its wonderful view and facilities for one month b4 i go back heh. i'm really gonna miss elm place tho. heck, been here 4yrs already. can still remember the first day we moved in. guess all good things must come to an end indeed... wonder what all my frens back home are doing right now. must be having tonnes of fun. can't wait to join them. :P alrightz.. going off to see how choot's doing with the game now.

"van helsing" wasn't as great as i thought it would be.. quite disappointing. the action and effects were good, but the plot sucked. heh... well at least 2 of the 3 girl vampires were good looking. but then one of them died within the first 15 mins of the movie. *bleah* stupid hugh jackman.. can't u kill the other one first?? neways, "the producers" wasn't too bad a musical. good music, one of the leading characters had fantastic vocal ability. plus the humour was typical mel brooks. :) but still doesn't rank alongside my fave musicals.

today i went to register for pilates with my sis... all that stretching's supposed to be good for my muscles and reduce the chance for injuries. guess that's why roy keane and gary neville take it as well. neways, went to business depot to shop for a canister (poster box) but they didn't have the size we wanted so we came back... napped for a while then had dinner and played prince of persia upstairs at choot's place. old game but wat a classic! :P

supposed to have given sara my reply by todae but i still haven't(about going with her to that dance party this friday nite). she kinda has this impression that i'm an "open-minded" person who likes to try new things. but then when she mentioned there are gonna be lots of ppl there on drugs and stuff and i'll get the chance to do it too i suddenly got turned off. guess i'm not as "open-minded" as she thinks. gonna have to tell her no.. thinking of a good excuse right now. *sigh*

suddenly they're gone. sent them off to the airport with bob and apple. then as i walked back home through campus i can't help but feel an intensifying feeling of sadness. it doesn't help that there was practically no one on the streets... looking at and walking through all these places that i have come to love and call home and realizing that very soon i'll not be seeing it again was just a bit too much to bear. luckily i didn't cry or anything... tho i really felt like it.

spent the afternoon walking around campus taking photos with them, especially for PY since there's a chance she won't be back in T.O. next yr as well. makes the setting all the more sad. then we sent them off to the airport... we were in a bit of a rush for Leng and PY's flight. had some problems with PY's ticket... and some prob with her luggage...it was too heavy. neways then we sent B off next. well, i thought i had put things behind me already.. but for some reason i still feel awkward when i am around her. dunno why... i can't even look at her. very sien as a result...all i could muster was to wish her all the best, take care, and goodbye (with a handshake). that's all i could do on the spot. i wish being friends wouldn't be so hard... but i guess in a way it's a good thing she's going back now.

oh yeah.. dinner at the airport sucked... it was so pricey... and the sandwiches tasted like sh**.. and the coffee they sold i swear is meant to choke ppl to death. bob is so lucky.. got free handphone that he can use for the next couple months. good, at least i can contact him now without a hassle. then can kacau him.. muahaha... looking forward to the next few days. gonna watch "van helsing" with my sis tom afternoon.. then "the producers" by mel brooks at nite. shld be good.

went to centre island for picnic with the wunai gang today... it was great... both weather wise and company wise, although it was dam windy and cold at times (especially on the ferry). :) it seemed to take forever for us to get there in the first place tho... so many delays... first py, leng, and eddie took ages to get here... then py went up to pass something to choot and they took forever to come down as well. finally made it to the ferry terminal but almost missed it as well cuz of some confusion when apple called us. she couldnt make it in the end cuz she had to run some errands. neways, it was fun at toronto island.. we walked ard and took lots of photos.. some of mother nature. Choot had this brilliant idea abt needing to "disturb the peace to get the best results" so we chased this bunch of seagulls on the beach till they were up flying everywhere. then we took some photos of that... lame i know... but fun :P ed and leng prepared sandwiches and sausages for us... and huijun/huimei brought drinks along. then i had this horrible experience of needing to use the bathroom but not being able to use it cuz they locked the doors from both sides. dam retarded system if u ask me... why lock public toilets if ppl need to use them?! neways wun tell u how i solved that prob... :P came back to the mainland and split up... bob, ed, and the twins had to go for mssa dinner. so choot, py, leng, and me went to meet up with apple and then had dinner @ konnichiwa on baldwin. fell asleep having dinner cuz i was so dam tired... stayed up till 530am last nite playing winning eleven and NBA live with choot. and that was after helping him fix his furniture and stuff too. was very frustrated at first cuz there was a prob with my smartmedia card. tot i had lost all the pics i took todae @ centre island... but now i solved the prob by downloading some software to fix it. gonna post a pic of our trip todae right here :)

YEE-HAH!! Yeah bay-beeeeeeeeeee!!! hehe... finally done with exams liaoz. actually not just done with any exam, but done with probably the last exam i'll ever have to take (well at least academic ones, i'm sure army has lotsa sucky exams waiting for me too.. :(..) It didn't go as well as i hoped it would tho, there were a couple of questions that were worth a lot of marks that i really had trouble figuring out. But i guess i can't complain. Today my sis and me oso got a new 19 inch LCD monitor for my PC system... heh.. my sis gonna take over my comp after i leave next yr and she wanted an upgrade.... gonna sell my current monitor in so doing. it is so fun watching DVDs and playing games now... the colours and everything is so cool... and the resolution is perfect! lots of typing space too. Anyways, we went to eat at Asian Legend for dinner... then came back and rested till now. actually more like play with the LCD screen till now... hehe... i'm a bit siao i know.. :P oh... nicki went back to sg too this morning liao... daniel went back 2 days ago... and Qiuyan is leaving tom... heck... suddenly my post-exam celebrations like cut short like dat... *sob*... not to mention PY, Leng, and B. are leaving next monday... here's the list of my frens who left/are leaving all ard this time:

phew! Taking a break from studying. so much studying.. and still so much to go :( Well at least i can say I will be free as a bird in 42 hrs time... my prof is nuts... so radical in his thinking.. seems like he wants to take on the whole world of linguists and psychologists like that. His theories a bit siao one :D Maybe if i ever do phD one day i can then counter-argue all this crazy stuff he says and makes me study.. muahaha. heh.. who am i kidding, i'll never be THAT interested to do something like that.

studying aside, today we went for B's birthday lunch. she seemed happy enough, which is great lah... afterall it is her birthday mah.. alwiz a special day shld be happy :) didn't tok to her but was glad for her. We ate at this Korean/Japanese place on Bloor & Christie... dun rem the name... only rem that the ah ma waitress was dam "champion"... i can say without a doubt she is the most "brilliant" waitress not just in T.O. but in the world... Ed went early to leave the birthday cake there so that after the meal she can bring it out as sort of a mini surprise lah... but then she asked the whole table before we even placed our orders.. "would you like me to give you the cake now?"... i didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Then just as we thought that was the best thing she could do, she topped off that performance with another "moment of genius". at the end when the time came for the cake she just put the whole box (still with plastic bag and candles untouched) on the table, everything just as it was... not prepared or lit... so we have to do-up the cake ourselves right in front of B. *sigh*... guess she's just not used to helping ppl with bdae celebrations lah..

oh well after that we walked along bloor back towards campus. i left the rest of the group early cuz had to come back to study.. most of them are done with their exams liaoz. so lucky.... feeling a bit moody again after my nap just now.. dunno why exactly tho. or maybe i do know but just dun wanna entertain the thought. either way gonna go shower now and head back to more studying...


i find this legolas cartoon very amusing... holding a brush... vanity does have its benefits i guess :P

May's finally here... 4 more days to what will be the last exam I'll ever have to take in my life as a student... the speed and magnitude of which I have still yet to fully take in.... Had my SPA345 exam this morning... froze on the very first question... suddenly my mind was a blank slate... what the hell was an "espanolada"? never mind, i bullshitted my way through that part of the exam... didnt help that everything was in essay form. *sigh*... neways came back and took a break from studying... PY, Leng, and Choot came to watch a couple episodes of PCK at my place... then it was out to dinner with Chenyu and Huishan who will be leaving on Sunday. They are graduating too... kinda weird how there will be no more Singaporeans staying on this floor of Elm Place next year... so used to having the 6 of us here this year... me, Chenyu and Huishan will be going back for good whereas my sis, Wanting, and Yuandong will be moving to One Park Lane. Things just won't be the same anymore.

Anyways after dinner I came back and studied for most of the nite. Then took a break from studying and went upstairs to pay Choot a visit at his new apartment... PY & Leng were there too... we joked around for like a couple of hrs... dun rem what were the jokes exactly.. just noe they were dam corny. *tsk tsk* Bob's rollerblades are still in my corridor... beginning to wonder how much I can sell them for... :P Oh, and thinking of trying out for soccer team to play in an All-Asian Soccer Tournament on 29th May... unfortunately there's no Singapore team so I'll have to represent Malaysia... dun call me a turn-coat eh.. :P Hmmph! so pissed that the new EA game LOTR: The Third Age of Middle Earth will not be coming out on the PC platform this fall.. what a downer...
