An Endless Stream of Consciousness

Had my testimonial soccer match this morning... we ran out 3-1 winners over the China group... was a pretty fun game. Except i took a few knocks again. I think if i can go through one game without picking up any knocks I'll consider that a miracle and go buy the lottery. neways, the wunai gang ppl actually came to watch.. i thought that was very nice of them cuz i really thought there was no need for them to come. and from what i heard, they had a gd time too, so that's gd.. i was scared they were gonna get bored to death. neways, came back and showered then went with yuandong for lunch then out to the engineering library to study for the afternoon. we took like 3 or 4 diff elevators in like GB, SS etc. and some were pretty scary!! like the retro kinda elevators where u have to open and close the doors and gates of the lift urself.

well that's that. then came back and went out with thad, daniel, qiuyan, yiling, a fren of theirs, my sis, and yuandong to swiss chalet on bloor for a mini-birthday dinner for qiuyan and me. qiuyan was a bit high after drinking a bit and she was very funny.. face was red and keep insisting she's not drunk but she still toked funny nonetheless. after dinner we went to eat dessert at greg's ice cream parlour... ate till i was gonna burst then it was time to head home. tried to do some work on my paper or readings but brain's half-cooked so will just leave that till tom. gonna go check on my fren now.

It's 5.18am right now and I just woke up from my sleep... don't know what woke me up from my sleep... but didn't sleep well and i can't stop thinking about certain things. Must be that silly Utada Hikaru's "first love" song i left playing in the background while I slept... it's a very nice song but so sentimental... leaving my head in a spin. Now debating between doing my assignment or heading back to bed. my mind is also left with mental images of figure skaters from watching the world figure skating championships the past few days... darn, those ppl are just so graceful. wish i was more like them and less like my clumsy self.

Either way, just want to thank god for the wonderful weather we'll be having these few days. Dunno what i'll be doing later on todae... PY left me an invitation to join her and choot for swimming but i may end up doing some work instead. We'll all be heading out to watch 'Scooby Doo 2' later on at nite with the gang, wonder what it'll be like. Heard my sis say the critics were actually quite merciless in condemning the movie. Well, guess I'll experience it first hand first... :)

still up now at 2.24a.m. spent the best part of the nite finding out diff ways to edit my blog. *sigh* i am so behind the times here... oh well, last couple of days was pretty dull. regular schl stuff, and out studying at nite and stuff like dat... almost caught up on all my work for JAL355 liaoz.. yeah! oh yah, i had a haircut yesterday too at harthouse.. finally a "noticeable" diff cuz before that i have been keeping the same "long-haired" look for the past 6 months or so. but now i look like a silly little school boy... oh well, better than some lah. time seems to fly by every day these past few weeks. i can't seem to get enough of toronto or my frens before i head back. recently i also found out that misery really does love company... can't say who tho. just want the person to noe that i am here 2 listen 2 her if she needs someone :) *sigh* i really gonna miss this place... to top it off i'm gonna turn 21 soon liaoz. AAGhh! Adulthood awaits.

In search of a way to stop time. I just realized how little time I have left in Toronto. It's not that i don't want to go back for NS. It's just that it's hitting me real hard how I will miss life as a student. And how I'll miss every moment I've had in this city. Seems like i really feel some sort of an attachment to each friend and place here or something... feel like a friggin' leech. But u get the idea.

Feeling really lethargic right now. Slept at 330 last nite but had to wake up early for soccer. I had my worst game ever since i came here too. Every shot i took crashed back off the post.. even missed sitters and open goals. And felt really drained... really bad stamina... wonder how i'll survive in NS. Or maybe its just the fact that i didn't have sufficient rest and played on an empty stomach. Neways, went to church after that and had lunch. Then slept like a pig till now. Been feeling rather emotional lately after i wake up each time. Dun really wanna say why.... if i told u b4 about it u'll noe why, if not u won't ever noe.

wanted to blog abt the contrasting fortunes of my two fave soccer teams and the dim sum outing todae.. but not in the mood to write much... :)

I was rather ticked off from what happened during this morning's lecture. This girl that i barely know asked to borrow my notes again. I felt like asking her to start attending class for once! always not there... it's amazing she never dropped the course. to make things worse she found out i am single and asked the stupidest of questions "so how come u don't get urself a gf? i thought all guys need one..." i promptly replied "i have had my chances, i just haven't found the right girl yet." she then gave me this ugly look "oh, you are one of those guys..." she tried to make me feel like a loser.

guess some of the ppl here just have diff values. realized that listening to josh groban can help soothe my fury. neways, went shopping for groceries with my sis after class. finished my research paper too, which is due next tues... can only be a good thing cuz now i can start working on other stuff...

Real Madrid lost to Zaragoza in the final of the Copa del Rey... so sad... :'( oh well, at least beckham scored. on a lighter note, i had an ok day. went to the AGO just now to view some of the art with Choot, PY, and bertina. then ended up at Timmies where we drank some hot chocolate and studied for a bit. :P or at least PY and i did. bertina just listened to music and choot flipped thru his calculus bk as if to admire its colours. dunno what's wrong with PY. none of her stuff seems to work recently.. her internet is down, her cellphone was out etc... hope her suay-ness isn't contagious! neways, heading off to bed soon... plan to spend the whole of tom working on my JAL355 research paper.

Joy's birthday today. Don't know what to get her. Was thinking of just giving her the necklace i got for her a long while ago that i never had a chance to give cuz of what happened between us. But I'm afraid she might get the wrong idea that I am still interested in her. Girls are so sensitive to everything.. sigh...

I am up early this morning... don't even know why. Perhaps bothered by some of the dreams I had last nite. It never fails to happen, when I finally decide to get on with my life the person or thing comes back to haunt me as if to say "are you sure you want to leave me behind?" To be honest I am sick of being a slave to my emotions. I always hoped to be more in control and am still yet to find real success. Anyway, it's a busy week ahead for me.

1) LIN306 Presentation on Tues (tommorrow.. arrgh!)
2) LIN372 Assignment due on Wed
3) SPA345 Film that i have to watch by Wed cuz we are discussing it in class. It's called "jamon, jamon" and i've been told that there are many "interesting" scenes of Penelope Cruz in it. But of course *ahem* we are doing this for the pure purpose of work.
4) JAL355 2nd term paper due next week

*Sigh* Prob shouldn't have listed it out, only stress me out even further. To top it off I can't make it to our group presentation meeting today at Robarts cuz I have class at that time. Oh well, at least the cutest girl in class is meeting up with me after that to tell me what the meeting was abt. :D

Wow! Just woke up not long ago, and it was the most peaceful sleep I've had for quite a long while. Feels so refreshing! :D Hopefully its the winds of change that did that. Anyways, yesterday was a nice day. Qiuyan gave me a lift to class in the morning cuz she was gonna bring my sis out to renew her OHIP stuff... I was still late for class tho... haha. Neways, I met Rosita for lunch at O'Grady's after... and we talked and talked... didnt realize we had a 2 hr lunch... her housemate came to join us after that... then it was back home for me. Nicki happened to be downtown, so I passed her my autograph bk so she could finish up on what she began last week -_- .

Then my sis and I went for stations of the cross in church. It's been like donkey years since I've gone to that, so it was a bit special. Then came back and slept like a pig. Bob called and told me plans for the nite were cancelled... everyone else was either busy, wanted to save up, or sleeping (me). But in the end him and PY still ended up going out for a movie.. (Hmm, i wonder).. haha. Hard to figure those two out.

I thought my nite was gonna be boring cuz my sis went out for a party and I ended up home alone, but thankfully my fun nextdoor neighbour Wanting came over to eat her Sandwich. Her bro went out for some class volleyball outing. So we had a chit chat session and ended up talking for like 3 hrs!! gosh... i really must have like chang2 qi4 or something. but dun get the wrong idea.. i wasn't the only one doing all the talking. she is also rather "long-breathed" too.. ;) yep. then when dong came back i went with him to timmies. third nite in a row. think we trying to set a record or smthg... it started snowing again. Toronto... the city of endless winter...

This sucks!!! sucks so bad... out for another year in the semi-finals, always miss by so close. we were up a goal in extra time, but there isn't a golden goal rule in this competition, and so they equalized and we were out 4-2 on penalties. Oh well, guess it's just not meant to be. I had an above average game today tho i guess, making several good dribbles and even a first time volley from distance that the keeper tipped onto the crossbar and out. *sigh* Anyways, enuff about the game.

Had an ok few days, but nothing still seems to go right for me. My social life, my study life, soccer life... nothing right... been short tempered too. Guess it shows, my frens tell me. Oh! but i discovered how to write in Elvish fonts, and i have been trying to learn that over the last 2 days. So far I've written some of my fren's names in Elvish with a writing system called Tengwar Sindarin, looks quite cool.... oh, and i've been studying out at the library too. much more conducive and i've been a lot more productive as a result. gonna make this a weekly thing i guess. The final lap in my uni life.. *sigh* i've really gotta stop sighing so much... i'm annoying even myself. oh well, friday's here again. gonna try my best to enjoy the weekend.

super sianz!!! man utd knocked out of champions league again... this time didnt even make quarter finals.. breaking their fine run over the last 7 yrs... to top off a bad day my prof returned my assigment that's worth 20% of my final grade and i didnt do that well... so tired too... from sitting in class for so long the whole day. I know I should probably be used to this lousy feeling by now but I still can't get over it. *sigh* why must life be so depressing... oh well... gotta get on with it. 2 days of the week down, 3 more to go.. dun think will be going out to study with my year 1 pals tonite.. gotta spend some time with my sis... gonna miss her when i leave man.. havent spent nuff time wif her... so gotta hang ard her and annoy her a bit more :P not looking forward to tomorrow. it promises to be another long day... oh well, at least i can eat more later...

So sian... it started snowing again today. It's March and all we've had so far is a false spring, or so it seems. Originally planned to go to Robarts to watch a Spanish film for my class and do some studying, but I scratched that after the snow started coming down. Just too lazy. I am so full now.. just came back from eating Jap food @ Sushi Time on Queen Street with Yuandong, Wanting, and my sis. As if that wasnt enuff I just couldnt resist getting a McFlurry from Macs on the way home. I swear I'm gonna burst from all this eating one of these days.

Had another long day yesterday. Didn't feel like going to class in the morning... when i woke up and saw how big the rain was outside, really felt like sleeping in. But i still went anyways... sigh. Met my HK ex-classmate for Dim Sum and Dragon City Mall after that. Food was good mostly, then finally he suggested i try the pork blood. It was rather tasteless, but i was a bit grossed out nevertheless. I ended up eating 4-5 of those. From there i met up with my sis to do some grocery shopping. Then came back home to do laundry and Rosita and her roommate came to take a look at our apartment building cuz they are thinking of moving in next yr.

When they were done i went to St. Mikes for some administration stuff, then met up with Bertina at her rez and we went to grab ourselves some drinks at Teashop 168 on Wellesley. Or according to her, its "Tea-job 168". spent an hour plus sitting upstairs and chatting with her. On the positive side, I learned some new things abt her and finally saw a side of her that I never saw before, that she is a cool and fun gal with a corny sense of humour as well. Great to hang out with. On the bad side, she confirmed my suspicions that she is indeed a little "cuckoo" in the head.

We went to meet up with the rest of the gang at ROM to watch the exhibit of some Egytian stuff later on. The exhibits kinda reminded me of "the mummy". Place was crowded with people. While we were there Bertina & bob kept talking about some stuff regarding monkeys and peanuts and linking it to me. In my opinion they are the real "nuts".

Our whole gang went to eat at Pho Hung on bloor afterwards. only bob, bertina and me ate cuz the rest already had dinner earlier. We took some silly pictures. Stopped by "Coffee, Tea, or Me" on the way to Bertina's Rez where we played air hockey, ping pong, and pool. Took more silly pictures there. We watched some corny shows on TV and hung ard till 230am then left for Timmies on Bay cuz PY and Bob were hungry. From there it was back home through the strong winds and freezing cold to my comfy bed. Slept at like 4. Up early today cuz need to go out and watch "The Passion" later with Nicki and my sis. Hope its good.

Had an eventful two days. Yesterday I finally took my grad photos, eight in all. The photographer was really funny, telling me a story about how a guy poked himself in the eye during one of his shoots. Then he put a fifty dollar note above the camera as incentive for me to smile. Guess it worked. I didn't get the money tho. Dammit! Neways, went to a talk at UC with my sis after that. It was one held by the linguistics department about "the mythos, worlds, and languages of J.R.R. Tolkkien". Was very interesting. That guy either had too much time on his hands or just loved languages so much that he created 4 writing systems and tons of languages. Went to my evening class after that which was dam tiring.

Today I spent most of my afternoon with Joy studying at Gerstein. It was one of the most productive sessions I had. Joy was quite amazed at how hardworking I was. Guess i should tell her I'm not like that usually. :) Anyways, I met Thad for teabreak after that ard 4. For some crazy reason he suggested we buy hot chocolate from timmies then go back up and sit outside yung sing to eat pastry. walked ard pointlessly for like 15 mins cuz of that. then next up was our big indoor soccer game with UTM in AC @ 10. Both teams are already in the playoffs, but to beat them 2-1 in the top of the table clash was sweet. Joe scored a cracker of a goal too. The stupid retarded referee booked me for no reason i understood tho. In fact it is fair to say he was the only one who knows why i was booked. Oh heck, we still won. Playoffs here we come!
