Finally...
This morning's operation was a success I should say. Finally had those syndesmotic screws removed and suddenly realized that my ankle feels a lot "free-er" albeit with some pain from the surgical wounds.
Doc says I can finally "full weight bear as tolerated", which is great news. I have been hobbling around happily on both feet for the afternoon, albeit with the help of my new elbow-crutch (just to help me with my balance, which isn't quite back yet!)
Here's just a quick thank you to all of you who have helped me for the past 10 weeks. Your prayers, words and actions are very much appreciated by yours truly.
Special thanks to my cousin Zhengyu, who accompanied me in that ambulance ride, as well as the rest of the team who made the trip down to the hospital on that day...

5 more days to go... not too sure how I feel about it. To be sure I have been waiting for ages for this next step to recovering my ability to walk. I should be absolutely happy, jumping for joy. But I'm not. Guess I am afraid of being too optimistic lest I get disappointed after the op and realize I still can't walk.
