Had one of the most eventful weekends of recent times. Nevertheless I still feel that it passed by too quickly. :( Went for Derrick's 21st Birthday Dinner party at The Pines country club on Friday nite. Didn't know more than two third's of the people at the party, except for a small group of ex-Cat High dudes. Nonetheless it was great to attend the birthday of a good friend of mine, someone I've known for over 10 years through being classmates and soccer school team-mates. Weichuen was there as well, and we ended up getting Derrick a toque (winter hat) as a birthday prez cuz he's heading for the UK soon (plus we couldn't think of anythin else).
SATURDAY
in the morning I went to visit the Dentist for cleaning and managed to get the tea and coffee stains on my teeth removed. Had lunch at Holland V with my mom... love spending time with my parents nowadays.. gonna do that as much as i can before i go for NS or i won't be seeing them much soon again. in the evening james came over to my place, and after a few games of winning eleven and watching some footy clips on my PC, we headed off to meet Boon Keng & co. to have dinner @ "chomp chomp" in Serangoon. We then arrived at his house for a sleepover. Needless to say, with all of us being man utd fans we also caught the match between united and bolton. And needless to say, united's backline proceeded to screw-up big time to make their previous gaffe a few games back look minute in comparison. neways, tuan left early.. leaving james, bk, francis and me to hang ard and talk c till ard 3am. "guy talk" we called it. lol. it was really fun. but then we realized we had a soccer match at 9 am the next morning so we went off to sleep.
SUNDAY
woke up early and headed for the telecom field for our morning match against this malay team. half our team was walking around half asleep lol. the sun soon got really hot though and it felt as if it was 3pm in the afternoon. the match was too eventful to be put into words. endless goals and action. 12-4 was the final score with James bagging 4 goals, Tuan and I both scored hattricks, Yiyong and George also got onto the score sheet. Don't ask me why our games are always high scoring. i dunno. i guess it's a mix of horrible defending and all-out-attacking. the referee must have blew his whistle a million times lol. neways i scored this diving header into the top corner of the net off a left wing cross from derrick. Gonna miss his crosses once he leaves man. he is such an asset to our team. after the game we went to J8 for some drinks at coffee bean.
in the pm i still had to go to NUS to play street soccer with elvin, weichuen and co. was so dam tired and sunburnt by the time i was done that i was dozing off at the evening mass service in church. originally was supposed to go for this family dinner with my aunt who came to visit but in the end i really couldn't stay awake so they left me home to sleep. Caught up on some much needed shut-eye and slept for 10 hrs straight. :P
