END OF SERVICE TERM
Our term is coming to an end. In 2 days i will be officially done with my time here @ Tango Wing in OCS. It has been by all means a memorable experience. Although the past couple of weeks have been marred an unhappy sequence of events, i will nevertheless look back on my time here with a certain amount of fondness. Happy or sad, the past 14 weeks here has definitely made me a better person, if not a better soldier.
My mates are making full use of our time tonite to go and play pool and sing Karaoke at the Cadet's mess. Although i did go there for a while, i wasn't really in the mood. So i decided to come back to our Wing line and use the I-net terminal *hiakz*. Will be heading off to Brunei early next week for our SOCJOT exercise. Oh, for the benefit of those who do not know yet, I have been posted to School of Signals for my Professional Term. I am satisfied in a way i guess. Afterall my first choice was Signals. But i guess i am still uncertain about so many things that lie ahead of me. I just pray that all will go well.
Things with the family have also been stormy the past couple weeks. In short, life could be better. But I would say that this is one of the few times that i am not the one who can make the choice to make it that way. Oh well... life isn't always fair. I just realized that i ahve lost touch with so many of my friends since i came into the army. It's almost as if they no longer exist(?) Every weekend it's the same routine without fail. Book out, spend time with family, spend time with gf, book in. I do not ask for anything special to break the monotony of this routine however. sometimes, doing simple things with the ppl who mean the most to u is good enough. Gotta go now...
