GOODBYE UNITED...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
They say that all good things must come to an end. For the first time in my 11 years as a United supporter, I have finally come to terms with the fact that my beloved team are no longer the dominant force of English football that they once were. Perhaps you could call me stubborn, but deep down in my heart I was clinging onto that glimmer of hope that they were only in a blip, that they will come out with all guns blazing, and that they will stun teams like Chelsea and Milan, and once again be amongst the cream of the crop in Europe.

But that last bit of hope vanished without a trace in the space of the last 4 days. Having first been humiliated 4-1 by Boro in a display of football not worthy of a United team, I was forced to swallow the bitter pill of having to watch the red devils suffer another 1-0 reverse in Paris to Lille in the UEFA champions' league yesterday morning. My gut feeling has been confirmed. Fergie has got to go. For all the trophies he has won with United, he no longer possesses the same skills nor motivational ability to spur his team on. His stubborn favouritism on choosing certain players ahead of others when others should be in the team based on merit has also got a big part to play in his own downfall. I for one have almost never had a single critical word to say about Fergie, but this in all honesty is the blatant truth. The Glazers have a decision to make. And I hope they eventually make the right one for the sake of the Devils' future.

For sure I will not stop watching my beloved United play, for I am United to the core. But from now on I will no longer harbour any hope of success, nor carry any expectancy for them to win their games to stop this state of disillusionment that i constantly find myself in.
