Back to Work...
I'm going to bed soon. Tomorrow will be the first day I am back at work since that unfortunate day. The doctor actually covered me in terms of medical leave right up till 31st July. But in all honesty I think that is way too long. Especially if you consider the fact that I just started working at the end of March. So after consulting my specialist, and giving it some serious thought, I've decided I should go back to work.
Even though it means I have to hobble back to my desk on crutches. But thank God my boss is a nice guy, and he has given me some flexibility and let me have a more or less desk-bound role at least for the next few weeks. He also agreed to let me have temporarily modified working hours so that I can avoid the rush hour traffic both going to work and coming back.
Really don't know what it will be like tomorrow. Not exactly looking forward to clearing the tonne of email backlog that's sure to be there. Oh well, we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck!
